Located in the centre of Christchurch, overlooking the Avon River. Christchurch is the largest city of New Zealand's picturesque South Island, also a gateway to the southern ski areas. A very pretty city, with many historic buildings and a tram running through the centre. Outside the hotel, along the river, there are many cafes. A ten minute walk to the Casino and Convention Centre. A two minute walk to the city's new art gallery.

The rooms are medium size and are in excellent condition following renovation in 2005. Some have excellent views towards the mountains in the distance.

Sepia Restaurant and bar is located on the ground floor, open all day, with views on to the river. The restaurant serves both local and international cuisine, with indoor and outdoor dining options.

The hotel exterior is a 13 storey tower style building.

The lobby is medium sized with the restaurant located at one end of the building. There is beautiful double sided fireplace, with comfortable sofas and chairs in natural textures and tones.

This hotel is very pleasant central location, along the picturesque Avon River.The hotel is located in easy walking distance to some of the citys best restaurants and major attractions.
