These newly created rooms are the pride of the hotel. Club Rooms are very spacious rooms with a 'contemporary meet traditional' sophisticated decor, and a seating area with a sofa for extra comfort. These rooms, in a hotel within a hotel, are complemented by more personal service and private check-in and entrance. Club Room guests can enjoy the 'Langham Club Lounge', where breakfast may be taken and drinks and snacks can be consumed on complimentary basis throughout the day. Soft colour schemes, contemporary patterned fabrics and elegant dark wooden furniture have been used to decorate the rooms. The larger than average marbled bathrooms are very bright, have a separate shower cubicle and are also in exceptional condition. The rooms offer comfort for those guests looking for traditional service but in a more contemporary setting, whether traveling for business or pleasure. Each room has a wide range of in-room facilities, including CD player, in-room safe, tea and coffee hospitality tray, a mini bar and writing desk, iron and ironing board, trouser press, bathrobes and slippers, branded toiletries and leading edge in-room entertainment console and Internet access.
The hotel has a bar and a new restaurant both designed by renowned star-designers at David Collins Studio. The Landau will open on the 27th November 2007, featuring an atmospheric vaulted wine corridor, where the restaurant’s extensive world-class wine collection is displayed. Under Head Chef, Andrew Turner, The Landau offers a Contemporary European menu using the best British ingredients with a few surprising twists. The bar, Artesian, combines exotic Orientalism and Victorian romance with striking and stylish sexy, contemporary touches. It also features delectable all day dining, from breakfast with a savoury and sweet muffins to a light lunch menu, afternoon tea and exotic cocktails in the evening.
The hotel is housed in Victorian-style building, it dates from 1865, completely restored and reopened in 1991, after being closed for fifty-one years. The hotel also has a large grand lobby with high ceilings and marbled floors and pillars.
The hotel also has a health club with an extensively equipped gymnasium, a 16metre heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam rooms and Jacuzzi. This is one of London's finest traditional hotels. The public areas are breathtaking; the property is very well maintained and set in an exceptional location.
