Hospes Madrid splendid building was designed by the architect Jose Maria de Aguilar in 1883 at the request of Prim's widowed Duchess and it can be included into the architectural eclecticism current in the Restoration period. What used to be a model of a house for several families now harbours a welcoming combination of elegance, architecture, gastronomy and pure revitalization. Hospes Madrid is located in the Plaza de la Independencia, an indissoluble part of Madrid's city centre, and it offers some fantastic views on to the Puerta de Alcala and an easy access to the city's intense artistic and cultural activity and financial district.
