The hotel is situated at the bottom of the steps leading to the famous Prague Castle and is within walking distance of all the city's main cultural and historical sights. Charles bridge and the old town square are 15 minutes walk away.

Bedrooms vary in size and lay out as the building is an unusual shape, but most are at least medium-sized and all are in excellent condition. They are all individually decorated with exceptional taste and style. Furniture is pale rosewood, with deep sofas and armchairs in most of the rooms. Sloping roofs, alcove windows and the owner's pictures on the walls offer alot of character. Bathrooms are modern and luxuriously finished in marble.

The hotel has a lovely elegant dining room on the ground floor with French windows. This unusual pastel coloured building with a terraced patio garden in front, overlooking the castle and the old town, stands on the corner of a busy winding road leading to the city centre. The lobby is small but very welcoming with a selection of Hoffmeister's cartoons dotted around the walls.
