The hotel is located at the Circular Quay end of the Sydney CBD, it is a few minutes walk to Circular Quay, Opera House, the historic Rocks and the main shopping area - Pitt Street Mall.

The building, dating back to 1800's, was initially used as newspaper conglomerate - John Fairfax Ltd and later it became a Bank. The facade has been restored showing the magnificent sandstone.
